Anwar declines to comment on Rafizi's resignation

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim declined to comment when asked if Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli had resigned from the Cabinet.

Anwar, speaking after the closing ceremony of the 2025 Asean Auditors Conference on Wednesday (May 28), responded with a brief question.

"Who told you that," he said before leaving in his official vehicle from the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

Anwar's response came about an hour before Rafizi issued a statement regarding his resignation as Economy Minister.

Rafizi had previously announced he would resign from his Cabinet post if not re-elected as PKR deputy president.

On May 23, Rafizi failed to defend his post, losing to Anwar’s daughter, Nurul Izzah.
