PKR polls: Members will keep party 'fresh' no matter the result, says Rafizi

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli says PKR members will keep the party fresh once the dust settles after the party polls.

As the campaign for the PKR central leadership council polls, which saw an intense fight for the party's no. 2 post draws to an end, Rafizi said God had decided their fate.

The incumbent PKR deputy president wished all delegates good luck and thanked his supporters, friends and family.

"What reassures me is that no matter what happens, this party will continue to remain fresh with members who will maintain reformasi ideals," he said in a Facebook post on Thursday (May 22).

Rafizi will be defending his deputy president post against Nurul Izzah Anwar, the daughter of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Rafizi's campaign tagline was "hiruk" (noise), while Nurul Izzah went the opposite way with "damai" (peace).

Party delegates will vote on Friday (May 23) for central leadership council posts and the new leadership line-up will be announced at the PKR national congress on May 24.
