A HIKER had to be airlifted from a mountain bordering Perak and Kelantan, after dislocating his left shoulder while hiking, China Press reported.
A helicopter was deployed from the Bertam Fire and Rescue Department Air Base to Gunung Yong Belar to retrieve the 63-year-old man.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department director Sayani Saidon said they received the report on the incident on Sunday morning and they immediately went to Sultan Azlan Shah airport to provide assistance when the helicopter landed.

The injured hiker was rushed to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh for treatment.

A picture of the sign went viral on social media platform X and received overwhelming support from Japanese netizens.
Many of them wrote that the restaurant had every right to prevent unruly customers from entering.
“This is the best restaurant. If I were to go to Osaka, I would definitely visit the restaurant,” one user wrote.
However, the sign also sparked a wave of accusations against the restaurant ranging from xenophobia to racism.
“Is it true that only tourists from China lack manners? Is it rational to put all the blame on Chinese nationals?” another netizen wrote.
