DUE to the extraordinary response from fans, legendary hip-hop group KRU has extended their three-night concert that began on May 8 with another show tomorrow, Sinar Harian reported.
Icon Entertainment founder Iman Tang said tickets for the third night of the concert titled “genKRU” had already sold out.
“The decision to add another date for the genKRU concert is a special gift from the organiser and the band.
“We are grateful for the tremendous response from the fans. Tickets for the first show were sold out within an hour while the second day, we ran out of tickets within 45 minutes.
“It is a recognition of love for the iconic trio. On behalf of Icon Entertainment and KRU, we are so touched and speechless,” he said.
He added that the company received many messages from fans, asking for the concert to be extended for another day at the Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
“Thus, it is our prerogative to ensure all fans get the opportunity to create sweet moments with KRU – Datuk Norman Abdul Halim, Datuk Yusry and Edry.
“For those who missed out on getting tickets for the three previous days, we want all to experience the concert on its last and fourth day,” he added.
Meanwhile, Norman, representing his two younger brothers, said the decision to add another day was made after considering various factors such as that Monday was a public holiday.
“We also received requests from fans who wanted to attend (the concert) more than once,” he added.
