1.6km electric fence to keep out elephants

GUA MUSANG: About RM50,000 have been set aside by the Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) to install a 1.6km-long community elephant electric fence system to curb wild animal intrusions at the Kesedar Sungai Terah Land Rehabilitation Scheme (RPT) here.

Kelantan Perhilitan director Mohamad Hafid Rohani said the fence system installation was the first community project of its kind in Kelantan.
