Raub MP, Samka chairman detained by cops


KUANTAN: Raub MP Chow Yu Hui and Save Musang King Alliance (Samka) Chairman Wilson Chang have been detained by police to assist in investigations.

Pahang Police Chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman confirmed the arrests.

According to Sinar Harian, he said that Chow and Chang were detained to assist in an investigation under Section 186 of the Penal Code.

Earlier, the detention of the DAP MP was confirmed by his lawyer, and news of his arrest was shared via the leader's Facebook page.

"We will continue to monitor the progress of this case and will update the latest information via Facebook and the media as soon as possible," stated the Facebook admin.

Previously, the police announced they would call in five individuals, including Chow, to assist in investigations into allegations of obstructing public servants from performing their duties during an enforcement operation on a durian farm in Raub recently.
