Massive inferno spotted near Subang


PETALING JAYA: A massive inferno was seen at Putra Heights on Tuesday (April 1), with flames being seen all the way from Subang Jaya.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the Subang Jaya Fire and Rescue Station said they received a distress call at 8.10am.

“The fire is located along Jalan Putra Harmoni. Teams from the Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Puchong fire stations were deployed are active on site,” said the spokesperson when contacted.

It is learnt that the fire is caused by a burst gas pipe.

Images and videos of the fire have appeared online with many claiming that it was spotted somewhere near Subang and Puchong.

SJ Echo posted a video of the fire earlier on Tuesday (April 1).

Others claim that the fire was at a petrol station in Putra Heights.

The huge fire can be seen from kilometres away with images and videos of it being shared widely on social media.

Subang Jaya MP Wong Chen confirmed in a statement that the fire had broken out at a petrol station in Putra Heights. 

"All citizens are advised to be on full alert. We will provide more Bomba updates when received. Bomba helicopter is also on the way."
