Nine million Malaysians to benefit from Phase 2 of Rahmah Cash Aid


PETALING JAYA: Phase 2 of the Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) will benefit nearly nine million people, involving an allocation of RM1.7bil.

During the daily briefing from the Prime Minister's Office on Thursday (March 27), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's senior press secretary Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said the aid, which was distributed starting Monday (March 24), civil servants Grade 15 and below received Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri of RM500.

Pensioners, including pensioned veterans and non-pensioned veterans, received RM250.

The government also extended aid to more than 70,000 Kafa teachers, takmir teachers, imam, bilal, toksiak, noja and marbut, who received RM250 each.
