Let the Quran be a remedy for the heart, says Religious Minister

PETALING JAYA: Make the Quran a guiding light and a remedy for the heart when making all decisions, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar.

In a statement on Tuesday (March 18) in conjunction with the celebration of Nuzul Quran, Mohd Na'im said all Malaysians should take the opportunity this Ramadan to get to know the Quran.

"The Quran is a guiding light, a remedy for the heart, and a compass for every step in life," said Mohd Na’im

"On this blessed night, let us reflect on the true meaning of Nuzul Quran by drawing closer to the words of Allah, strengthening our understanding, and practising its teachings in our daily lives," he added.

"As servants of Allah, we must strive to make the Quran our faithful companion, a source of strength, and a guide in every decision we make. May this special night bring blessings upon us all and further strengthen our faith and devotion to Him," he said.

"I invite all Malaysians to seize the opportunity in this month of mercy by increasing our recitation of the Quran, contemplating its verses, and embracing the noble values it contains," added Mohd Na'im.

Nuzul Quran in the Islamic calendar celebrates the night when the first verse of the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad on the 17th day of Ramadan, in the Cave of Hira, Mecca.
