Father and son die in Tapah lorry crash


IPOH: A father and son were burnt to death after the trailer they were in crashed into another lorry near Tapah.

A Perak Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress call at 7.46am on Tuesday (March 18) regarding the accident on KM331.8 of the North-South Expressway.

He said the man, the driver of the trailer transporting sand in his 40s, and his son in his 20s died at the scene.

"The trailer hit the back of the lorry transporting wool. The driver was found burnt to death, while his son was found stuck beneath the trailer and was also burnt," he said.

The spokesman added that both bodies were removed from the vehicle.
