Phone lost at Disneyland finds its way home months later

A JAPANESE woman, who accidentally dropped her iPhone while on the Jungle Cruise ride at Tokyo Disneyland, unexpectedly got it back some five months later.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the woman received a call from Disneyland’s lost and found department on Feb 8.

“They said they found my iPhone and it was returned to me on Feb 11. It felt like a miracle,” she said.

According to the daily, the woman lost her phone during the ride in September last year. Despite efforts by staff to locate it after receiving the report, their search proved unsuccessful.

Having just spent ¥120,000 (RM3,500) on the new iPhone, the woman even asked if she could search for the phone herself after business hours, but was denied due to safety concerns.

“Although the phone had been submerged in water for months and was no longer functional, I am still very grateful to Disneyland and plan to send it for repairs,” she said.

The woman said she did not want to cause any more trouble for the park and felt she had to find it herself.

“I never expected it to be found. Looking back now, all I feel is gratitude,” she said.
