1,020 civil service officers involved in job rotation since August


PUTRAJAYA: A total of 1,020 civil service officers have been involved in the job rotation initiative since August 2024.

In a statement Thursday (Feb 13), the Public Service Department (JPA) announced that 283 officers from the Top Management Group across various service schemes have been assigned to new positions.

The initiative also includes 737 officers from the Management and Professional (P&P) Common-Use Services Group.

According to JPA, the government remains committed to implementing this initiative to strengthen the enablers of public sector reform.

"The job rotation initiative has provided a significant breakthrough in achieving maximum outcomes while curbing performance decline, leakages, and abuse of power.

"The government firmly believes that job rotation not only enhances the effectiveness and competitiveness of the public sector but also ensures a more efficient, progressive, and responsive service delivery system to meet the current challenges and the needs of the people," the statement read. – Bernama
