Anwar attends 'lou sang' session with ministers


PETALING JAYA: Ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Cabinet ministers gathered for a lively "lou sang" session.

Following the Cabinet meeting on Friday (Jan 24), Anwar and other ministers attended a luncheon hosted by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi; Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming; Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang; Human Resources Minister Steven Sim; Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

Anwar and the ministers joyfully engaged in the traditional tossing of the "lou sang," an activity that is not merely fun but also rich in symbolic meaning.

The "lou sang" represents aspirations for prosperity and good fortune in the coming year.
