A RESTAURANT in Sichuan, China, was ordered to shut down after a worker was caught urinating in the kitchen, China Press reported.

He was filmed doing so while standing in front of a gas stove.

When he turned around, he was seen pulling up his zipper.

The video went viral on Weibo and sparked an investigation by the Chenghua district Market Supervision Bureau.

Later, the restaurant operator confirmed the footage which showed an employee relieving himself in the kitchen.

The bureau has shut down the restaurant pending an investigation.

The incident sparked a discussion on Chinese social media, with many Internet users saying they were disappointed at the state of hygiene practised in the country.

> King of Mandopop Jay Chou is now a brand ambassador of the Italian sports carmaker Ferrari, China Press reported.

The 46-year-old announced a day before his birthday on Jan 18 that he was now a “Friend of the Ferrari Family”.

He posted a photo of himself standing next to a red Ferrari 12Cilindri, a new model unveiled last year.

The singer asked his fans on Instagram for suggestions for the most suitable song to go with the photo.

Many of them responded by picking his 2011 R&B tune Sports Car Model, and Drifting, which was the theme song from the film Initial D in which he starred.

Chou, who is a fan of sports cars, had gone to Italy earlier this month to discuss the collaboration.

With the announcement, the superstar is now ambassador to five international brands, including watchmaker Tudor, Dior, La Mer and suitcase manufacturer Rimowa.
