Notify us before any electrical works, Sabah Electricity says after fatal incident in Ranau


KOTA KINABALU: Anyone wishing to carry out electrical works is advised to inform Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) beforehand.

This is to prevent any accidents and to shut down any connected power lines, allowing the works to be carried out, SESB said in a statement on Friday (Dec 13).

Earlier in the day, three solar panel installers were electrocuted in Ranau district.

When the incident occurred, the three men were said to be installing solar panels in the Ranau Public Works Department compound.

The Fire and Rescue Department and medical officials responded.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene while a fourth worker was unhurt.
