Continuous rain expected over several states, says MetMalaysia


PETALING JAYA: Continuous rain is expected over the states of Perlis and Kedah, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Sik, and Baling.

Other affected states include Perak (Hulu Perak), Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, and Kuala Krai), and Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, and Kuala Terengganu).

The forecast is valid until Thursday (Dec 12), said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in an advisory on Wednesday (Dec 11).

The continuous rain warning (alert) for Pahang, including Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Temerloh, and Bera, has been withdrawn.

Also withdrawn were the severe continuous rain warnings for Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman) and Pahang (Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin).
