Decomposed body found at Rawang Bypass exit

RAWANG: An unidentified body was found in a state of decomposition at the Rawang Bypass exit here on Monday (Dec 9), Malay language daily Sinar Harian reports.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar told Sinar Harian that they received initial information about the discovery of the body at 10:09am Monday.

He said that a total of 10 personnel from the Rawang Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene to handle the body.

"The fire brigade arrived at the scene at 10:16am and the team began the task of removing the body.

"The decomposed body was handed over to the police for further action," he said in a statement on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir confirmed the discovery of the body and said the case has been classified as a sudden death report (SDR).

He added that a media statement on the discovery of the body will be issued.
