Employment disputes linked to murder of foreigner found in car boot

KUALA LANGAT: The police believe that the motive behind the murder of a foreigner whose body was found in a car’s boot was dissatisfaction over pay and labour.

“The motive was determined to be dissatisfaction with commission pay and the poaching of field workers," said Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Mohd Akmalrizal in a text to the media on Sunday (Dec 8).

He added that the two suspects arrested had prior records and conspired with each other to commit the crime.

On Dec 3, police discovered the body of a man, believed to be in his 30s, in the boot of a car, with several injuries to his body, during a vehicle inspection by officers on patrol in Telok Panglima Garang.

The car’s driver and passenger were plantation workers, both foreigners aged 17 and 22. They were remanded until Dec 14.
