Man trapped in a seven-vehicle crash on the NKVE Highway


KUALA LUMPUR: A man was injured in an accident involving seven vehicles at KM14.4 of the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) heading north, near the Subang to Damansara route, on Tuesday (Nov 19).

Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, the Assistant Director of Operations at the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM), said that they received a notification about the accident at 8.56pm, reported Sinar Harian.

Ten firefighters from the Damansara Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene to assist in rescuing the trapped victims.

One of the victims, a 36-year-old local male, was trapped inside a car but was safely rescued by the firefighters. He was subsequently handed over to a medical team from the Health Ministry for further treatment.

Meanwhile, PLUS reported via the X platform that the accident closed the right and middle lanes of the highway and caused congestion stretching nearly four kilometres on that route.
