Fire damages school hostel in Bukit Puchong, no injuries


PETALING JAYA: A school's hostel in Bukit Puchong was partially burnt in an early morning fire.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Wan Md Razali Wan Ismail said the distress call was received at 5.23am on Wednesday (Nov 6).

"The fire was on the second floor of the hostel for Sekolah Bina Insan.

"Firemen from the Puchong fire station were dispatched to the scene," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Nov 6).

The second floor of the hostel building was 50% burnt, he said.

"The fire was on the structure and did not involve any victim," he added.
