Graft busters raid premises of FashionValet

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has raided the office of FashionValet and three other premises.

The MACC announced this in a post on their official TikTok account yesterday.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said on Nov 2 that they were investigating losses incurred by Khazanah Nasional Bhd and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) over their investment in FashionValet.

Recently, amid debate about the controversial sale of FashionValet involving public funds, the couple behind the company stepped down from their positions.

In a joint statement, Datin Vivy Yusof and her husband, Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar, said they took full responsibility for the failure of the investment by Khazanah Nasional and PNB.

Vivy was FashionValet’s chief executive officer, while Fadzaruddin was executive director.

The Finance Ministry previously said Khazanah and PNB sold their stakes in Malaysia’s first fashion e-commerce platform, Fashion Valet Sdn Bhd, for RM3.1mil – at a loss of almost RM44mil.
