Eight-year-old girl among three saved from Klang apartment fire


KLANG: Three individuals, including an eight-year-old girl suffered from smoke inhalation following a fire at their apartment unit in Taman Sentosa here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the distress call was received at 2.58am on Friday (Oct 25).

"A total of 15 firemen from the Andalas fire station were dispatched to the scene.

"The affected unit was on the second floor of the apartment," he said in a statement today.

The unit was 20% burnt but firemen managed to put it out completely.

"A man and a woman in their 30s and an eight-year-old girl were trapped in a room but were rescued.

"They suffered smoke inhalation and received early medical treatment by emergency personnel before being handed over to Health Ministry personnel for further treatment," he said.
