KUCHING: The Federal Government will work with the Sarawak government to develop the Sarawak Cancer Centre, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He said the cancer centre was estimated to cost RM1bil.
"We thank the Sarawak government for providing the initial financing to build the cancer hospital in Kuching," he said when tabling Budget 2025 on Friday (Oct 18).
Anwar also said the development allocation for Sabah and Sarawak would be increased to RM6.7bil and RM5.9bil respectively.
In addition, he said the special grants for both states would be doubled to RM600mil starting next year.
