Budget 2025: MACC to get RM360mil next year, up from RM338mil in 2024, says Anwar

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of RM360mil has been allocated for graft busters next year, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said the allocation for the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is more than this year, where RM338mil was allocated.

"The MACC will be given utmost freedom to investigate and take stern action against corrupt individuals and bring them to justice.

"Last year, arrests and opening of investigation papers showed a more than 20% increase compared to the previous year," he said in tabling Budget 2025 on Friday (Oct 18).
