Missing teen appears at police station

KOTA KINABALU: A teenage boy has turned himself in at the Penampang police station, two days after his family reported him missing.

Penampang district police chief Supt Sammy Newton said 15-year-old Rezlo Mic Fadden, who left home with his cousin, was found to be well.

Rezlo’s cousin returned home on Aug 9 after seeing news reports about their disappearance.

“Both teenage boys, reported missing on Aug 8, have been found safe, unharmed and in good condition,” Supt Newton said in a statement.

He also addressed a 32-second audio clip circulating on social media, clarifying that it was fake and unrelated to the case.
