PERKESO’s Neuro-Robotic and Cybernics Rehabilitation Centre achieves 63.05 per cent completion

IPOH: The progress of the Social Security Organisation's (PERKESO) Neuro-Robotic and Cybernics Rehabilitation Centre has reached 63.05 per cent completion as of Aug 2.

Human Resources Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong said that the development of 11 main blocks, integrated with Neuro-Robotic and Cybernics services, conventional rehabilitation treatments and traditional medicine, has now entered the rapid construction phase, with full completion expected by May 1, next year.

“This Rehabilitation Centre is equipped with the latest robotic technology, including neuro-robotic and Cybernics treatments from Japan.

“Additionally, the facilities and services will focus on holistic medical and vocational rehabilitation, based on the whole life-cycle rehabilitation concept,” he said.

Earlier, Sim conducted a working visit to the construction site of PERKESO’s largest rehabilitation centre in South-East Asia, located in Bandar Meru Raya, Ipoh, to inspect the progress of the construction and development of the project last Friday.
