Man killed, friend hurt as car hits guardrail in Iskandar Puteri


ISKANDAR PUTERI: A 24-year-old man was killed while his friend suffered serious injuries in a car crash at the Persiaran Indah roundabout in Bukit Indah here.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm M. Kumarasan said the incident occurred at 1.45am on Sunday (Aug 4) when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guardrail.

“The impact caused the victim, who was driving, to be flung out of the car, suffering serious head injuries and a broken right arm.

“His friend, a 31-year-old man, suffered serious injuries to his head, legs and arms,” he said in a statement.

ACP Kumarasan said the body of the victim was taken to Hospital Sultanah Aminah for a post-mortem.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
