Prime Minister congratulates Sultan Ibrahim on installation as King


KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim on the King’s installation on Saturday (July 20).

"May Allah bless His Majesty’s reign to continue to be at the highest position in the country's Constitution, in line with the function of the royal institution as a protector of Islam and a symbol of unity and well-being of all races in the country,” he said in a Facebook post.

On behalf of all Malaysians, the Prime Minister also expressed unwavering obedience and loyalty to the institution of the Constitutional Monarch.

The Installation Ceremony of the 17th King of Malaysia at Istana Negara was attended by about 700 guests, including Malay rulers, governors, Cabinet members, as well as foreign leaders and dignitaries.
