THE Batu MP, P. Prabakaran, has urged the community to refrain from speculating on the controversy surrounding SJK (T) Ladang Kinrara.
The school, with a century-long history and currently serving 700 pupils, has become a focal point following reports suggesting it might need to surrender 3,000 sq ft (279 sq m) of its land for road widening to accommodate a condominium development.
This purported move, allegedly imposed by Kuala Lumpur City Hall, would necessitate the demolition of the school canteen, kindergarten, and other facilities.
Prabakaran, who is the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit chairman, said those issuing statements on the matter must understand the full details before speaking out to avoid confusing the public.
The developer of the condominium has submitted a request, but this has not been approved, said Prabakaran.
