Body of elderly woman found in Bercham house, son held to help in investigations


IPOH: The body of a woman in her 60s was found in her house at Dataran Tasek Timur 5 in Bercham here.

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the victim was found with a head injury on Wednesday (June 12).

"The victim was found lying face down on the floor near the back door of the living room.

"The victim has been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital for post mortem to determine the cause of death," he said, adding that the case would be categorised as sudden death for now.

"The victim's son, in his 30s, has been arrested to facilitate investigation into the matter," he added.
