PETALING JAYA: The newly-launched Malaysia Madani Nationhood Training Module will involve a three-day two-night course with the aim of building a community aligned with Madani aspirations, says Akademi Kenegaraan Malaysia (AKM).
There will also be half-day and full-day programmes under the module, said AKM, which is under the Prime Minister’s Office.
“Content in the module includes lectures and interactive nationhood activities, among others, and will be delivered through discussions, interactive videos, role plays and more,” AKM said in a statement yesterday.
It said the module will employ both conventional and digital aspects to attract participation from all quarters, especially youths.
AKM said the module met the needs of all stakeholders and kept with the times while steadfastly focusing on history, increasing understanding towards the Federal Constitution and embodying values in the Rukun Negara.
“We hope the module will be a benchmark and reference towards the implementation of future nationhood activities to all audiences.
“Through this, we hope it opens up more room for collaborations between AKM and other government agencies, statutory bodies, the private sector, non-governmental organisations and media practitioners.
“We hope this will develop a patriotic and progressive Malaysian community to continue efforts in developing the nation,” it said.
The module has also been tailored to suit the Madani agenda and aspirations, it added.
AKM was officially established earlier this year. Efforts to develop the module were carried out soon after the academy was formed.
To optimise government spending, AKM will also organise all upcoming nationhood programmes, with a mission to empower nationhood training in a comprehensive manner.
“This ensures Malaysians today will have humanitarian values, appreciate well-being and creativity, while also being respectful and confident in developing the nation,” it said.
