Clay pot thrown at Serdang Police Station, no cops injured says OCPD


KUALA LUMPUR: After being reprimanded for riding a motorcycle without a helmet, two drunken individuals threw a clay pot at the Serdang Police Station early on Sunday (June 2) morning.

In a statement, Serdang OCPD ACP A.A. Anbalagan said no policemen were injured during the 6.30am incident.

He said that two suspects on a motorcycle had stopped in front of the police station. When one of the police officers on duty asked them what they were doing, the motorcycle's pillion rider threw a pot at the fence before they made their escape.

"It is suspected that the motive of the incident was retaliation, as it is believed the suspects were reprimanded earlier that morning at a roadblock for not wearing their helmets," he said.

According to ACP Anbalagan, the police are conducting further investigations to locate the suspects and the case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
