Search ongoing for misplaced pistol by policeman during pee break

IPOH: Police are still looking for a handgun that was lost by a police corporal in Taiping while relieving himself.

The on-duty policeman had stopped his patrol car by the side of the road on May 27 and left the gun on the boot of the car during the toilet break.

When contacted Taiping OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Nasir Ismail confirmed the case.

“We are still investigating as to what exactly happened.

“The gun is yet to be found,” he said.

It has been reported online that the policeman had driven off without retrieving his gun after relieving himself.

He only realised that the weapon was missing when he reached the police headquarters.

However, upon going back to the area, and searching for the weapon, the policeman failed to locate the gun.
