A new epicurean era begins at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort

ATLANTIC Seafood Restaurant is poised to create extraordinary epicurean adventures and elevate dining experiences as the first seafood restaurant at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort (TGCR).

Nestled in the main wing of TGCR, this grand space that spans 9,600 sq ft accommodates up to 210 pax, and has five elegant VIP rooms – each fitted with an immersive KTV experience.

Tropicana has engaged the Wong family of the renowned Unique Seafood Group of restaurants to set up this new establishment, where premium pork-free Chinese seafood take centrestage.

Tropicana Corporation Berhad’s independent non-executive chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Mohamad Fuzi Harun, says the Tropicana Group welcomes the celebrated restaurateurs.

“Armed with 24 years of experience in crafting seafood cuisine, the Wong family sources fresh and sustainable ingredients, thus adding value to the restaurant and TGCR.

“This will continue to enhance our guests, community members and visitors’ gastronomic experience while also encouraging placemaking for the community.

“Combined with the modern transformation of our TGCR main wing, we are confident that discerning diners will want to experience a taste of the ocean at TGCR,” he adds.

Featuring a smorgasbord of seafood from both local and international shores, diners can look forward to feasting on everything from fresh lobsters, crabs, and prawns, to abalone, mollusk, fish and shellfish.

The menu also includes a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, beancurds, noodles, rice and delectable desserts.

Some of its signature dishes diners won’t want to miss are its steamed Alaskan spider crab with egg white, Australian lobster sashimi with caviar, stir fried abalone with oyster sauce and fried ginger with pickled cucumber and steamed Scotland scallop with minced garlic and vermicelli.

Unique touch

Atlantic Seafood Restaurant’s award-winning chefs possess more than 30 years of combined experience in superior Chinese seafood cuisine, and showcase their mastery through more than 219 gastronomic variations at TGCR.

Unique Seafood Group’s marketing and sales director Abby Wong, says this new establishment marks a new milestone for the brand that started off as fresh seafood suppliers in the 1980s, before debuting their first seafood restaurant 24 years ago.

“Together we bring more value to TGCR, serving fresh seafood to affluent members, golfers, residents and distinguished visitors,” she adds.

The restaurant’s trademark is the aquarium room which enables guests to view and select imported and locally harvested fish and shellfish to be prepared to their liking by the master chefs and their talented team.

Behind the scenes, the restaurant’s signature cuisine and flavourful dishes are curated by chef Low Chee Yeow and chef Lew Chee How – both of whom have been featured in the Malaysia International Gastronomy Festival.

Low, the banquet head chef, brings several decades of experience in cooking Chinese seafood and banquet dinners to the table.

Lew, while younger, is highly skilled and served as head chef for a famous Chinese restaurant chain for over a decade. He continues that esteemed role with Atlantic Seafood Restaurant.

Atlantic Seafood Restaurant at TGCR offers diners great value especially with its lunch sets, priced at only RM55++ per pax.This four-course lunch meal consists of fish, prawns and chicken cooked in a variety of styles.
