Ulu Tiram police station attack: MCA condemns attack on cops


PETALING JAYA: MCA Youth has condemned the attack which claimed the lives of two police officers at the Ulu Tiram police station on Friday.

MCA Youth chief Ling Tian Soon also extended condolences to the families and friends of the victims of a pre-dawn assault which also saw another police officer injured.

"We offer our prayers for the souls of the departed and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured personnel.

"The public is also advised to refrain from speculating on this incident and allow the police to conduct an unhindered investigation," he said in a statement on Friday (May 17).

He said MCA Youth also hopes that public safety will be enhanced.

"This requires the involvement, cooperation and roles by all quarters.

"It is expedient to ensure that Malaysia is free from the influence of any extremist groups and terrorists who threaten the security and sovereignty of the country," he said.
