KKB by-election: Pang Sock Tao looking to move in to constituency following win

HULU SELANGOR: After winning the Kuala Kubu Baharu state seat, Pakatan Harapan’s Pang Sock Tao says she’s ready to find a home here.

“I’ve stayed here throughout the two-week campaign period, and now I’m finding a home here. I will move in,” said the 31-year-old from Ampang during a press conference at the Umno Hulu Selangor office here on Saturday (May 11).

Her response also attracted cheers from supporters present at the building.

Selangor DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo told Pang that “work had to start now”.

“After two weeks of campaigning, Pang has heard many issues from the ground and work has to start now. Pang’s victory also shows that the people want a stable government, with a mission and vision,” he said.

Pang won the Kuala Kubu Baharu seat with a 3,869 majority.

She obtained 14,000 votes against Perikatan Nasional’s Khairul Azhari Saut (10,131), Independent Nyau Ke Xin (188) and Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s (152).
