SINGER Ernie Zakri says she will not be upset if her song Masing Masing, composed by Indonesian musician Ade Govinda, is not eligible to be nominated for Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) as it is not a local song, Harian Metro reported.

Despite a long-held wish to perform on the AJL stage, Ernie held a philosophical view on her chances of winning an award.

“AJL is one of Malaysia’s foremost award ceremonies.

“For now, though, it doesn’t matter if I win or I don’t. What matters to me is that people discover this song and find a home in their hearts for it,” said the 32-year-old.

Ernie said what truly counts as an achievement is how her followers rate her music.

“As long as the fans appreciate and like my work, that’s enough,” she said.

> Actress and host Uyaina Arshad is getting tired of stories of cheating involving celebrity couples that have been dominating the news, Kosmo! reported.

Every time she browses social media, she will inevitably encounter such stories about celebrities’ domestic troubles, she added.

“Isn’t it boring to read the same old tales of infidelity and unfaithful acts in people’s homes? When will all this end? How many more episodes to go?” Uyaina questioned in a TikTok clip.

The Wanita Hari Ini presenter said she would rather spend her time watching religious content instead of such controversies.

“Open Instagram, TikTok and X ... It’s the same story.

“If you’re tired of it, then read and study the Quran,” she said.
