Mt Ruang eruption: MAHB advises travellers to check with airlines for up-to-date flight info


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) advises travellers to contact their airlines directly following the cancellation of flights to Kota Kinabalu and Kuching following the volcano eruption in Sulawesi, Indonesia.

In a statement Thursday (April 18), Senior Airport Manager Jefry Ramli said to ensure a smooth travel experience, it strongly advised passengers to contact their airline directly for the most up-to-date information on their specific flight, including any cancellations or retimings.

"We've been informed by airlines of potential flight cancellations and retimings. Airlines manage their own schedules and have the final say on flight changes.

"To ensure a smooth travel experience, we strongly advise passengers to contact their airline directly for the most up-to-date information on their specific flight, including any cancellations or retimings.

"Airline contact details are usually available on their website or mobile app," he said in a statement.

He also apologised for any inconvenience caused and recommend referencing the airlines for the most accurate flight information.
