Famous Batu Lanchang nasi tomato stall razed in fire


GEORGE TOWN: A famous food stall selling nasi tomato at Flat Taman Seri Damai in Batu Lanchang was destroyed in a fire on Tuesday (April 16).

Jalan Perak Fire Station chief A'azelan Hassan said that the fire also destroyed two motorcycles parked near the stall.

"A total of 14 firefighters arrived at the location after being informed of the fire at 10.37am," he said when contacted.

A'azelan said the stall, which was in operation for over 20 years was mostly destroyed in the fire.

He said the fire was fully put out at 10.52am.

No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
