Trio to be quizzed over money in bag

PETALING JAYA: Three people will be questioned soon by police to facilitate investigations into the suitcase containing over RM500,000 cash that was found at a shopping mall parking lot in Damansara last month.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the three individuals were friends of an IT company director who had come forward to claim the money.

“They will have their statements recorded at the Petaling Jaya police headquarters,” he said when contacted yesterday.

The suitcase was spotted by a security guard on March 20.

Subsequently, an IT company director, who is also the director of a logging company, had laid claim to the ownership of the money.

Those with information on the case can contact the police hotline at 03-2052 9999 or go to the nearest police station.
