Lawyer confirms blogger Tamrin contacted by cops over recent blog post

PETALING JAYA: Blogger Tamfin Ghafar has been contacted by the police over an investigation into his recent blog post.

His lawyer Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali confirmed that Tamrin received a call from cops.

"We will release more details once we have confirmed his appointment with the police," he said.

Tamrin denied claims that he will be questioned on Thursday but confirmed that police have spoken to him.

"Yes they did speak to me and told me that they want to record my statement, but we have yet to set a date for it,” he said.

Tamrin said the post was merely a prediction of where DAP would stand in the coming years.

“What is wrong with making a prediction?

"Anyway, I have been questioned by police multiple times in the past, so this is nothing new to me," he said.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain when contacted said they would most likely record Tamrin's statement next week.

"Tamrin has yet to set a date for the statement to be recorded, sometime next week maybe," he said.
