TAIWANESE influencer “Goodnight Chicken” has apologised to his fans in a video after spending more than a month in Cambodian jail for faking his own kidnapping, reported Oriental Daily.

In the video posted on a fan page, the influencer, whose real name is Chen Neng Chuan, said he wished he could turn back time.“I’ve ruined the past three years myself. I really want to be back with everyone – those happy nights with brothers and sisters.

“I apologise to my family, to all the fans who supported me, and especially to the government of Cambodia.

“I will accept any criticism because I really made a mistake,” said Chen.

He also apologised to his wife for losing the family’s only source of income.

Chen, who livestreamed his supposed kidnapping by a scam call centre in Cambodia, was sentenced to two years in prison.

He was also fined four million riel (RM4,684) for the hoax.

> China Press reported that while a regular elevator could only accommodate up to 20 people at a time, the world’s largest could transport up to 235 people.

The daily reported that user @khaliqyar.k uploaded a video to TikTok showing the world’s largest passenger elevator at Jio World Centre in Mumbai, India, complete with small sofas.

The interior of the elevator is extremely spacious and decorated like a luxurious room.

At 25.78 sq m, it is similar to the size of a studio apartment and can travel between five floors at one time.

Its manufacturer, Kone Corporation, said on its website that the elevators at the Jio World Center began operating in May 2022.
