Cops arrest two ex-workers for oil tanker theft worth RM130,000


KUALA LUMPUR: Two former workers were arrested for suspected theft of an oil tanker worth RM130,000 in the Puchong Prima area, Puchong here, on Friday.

Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said both suspects, in their 40s and 20s, respectively were detained at noon and further investigation led to the discovery of the stolen tanker truck hidden in Klang, Selangor.

"Investigations revealed that the suspects were former employees of the victim and they used a duplicate key to steal the vehicle," he said in a statement on Saturday (March 16).

The suspects have been remanded for three days until Sunday (March 17) under Section 379A of the Penal Code for theft. - Bernama
