Marchers gather to call for gender equality


KUALA LUMPUR: Scores of men and women have joined the Women’s March 2024 here on Saturday (March 9).

The marchers, who started at the Sogo shopping centre at 10am Saturday, are currently nearing Dataran Merdeka after a 30-minute walk that proceeded without issue.

During the march, those present held up banners and placards calling for gender equality and an end to gender-based violence while also shouting similar slogans.
