KUALA LUMPUR: The Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) has filed an appeal against the Court of Appeal's decision to acquit former Felda chairman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad.
In a brief message to the media, Attorney General Datuk Ahmad Terrirudin Salleh confirmed the move.
"Yes, we have filed," he said in a text message on Thursday (March 7).
It is understood that the notice of appeal was filed on Thursday.

On Wednesday (March 6), a three-judge panel of the appellate court discharged and acquitted Mohd Isa, who was a former Negri Sembilan Mentri Besar, of nine corruption charges involving RM3.09mil linked to Felda's acquisition of Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites in Kuching, Sarawak.
Mohd Isa was first found guilty by the High Court on Feb 3, 2021.
He was sentenced by the then High Court judge Justice Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali (now Court of Appeal judge) to six years imprisonment and a fine of RM15.45mil, in default 18 years prison, for all the nine counts.
