Unifi Mobile emerges as a prominent contender in the global 5G landscape in Opensignal awards

MOBILE connectivity is crucial in the modern world and Unifi Mobile came out on top in the Opensignal awards last year as a noteworthy player in the global 5G landscape.

Unifi secured top position in various categories, including 5G download speed and 5G availability – putting the telco on par with renowned global players like Sweden’s Telenor and South Korea’s SK Telecom.

Opensignal, an independent analytics company in the telecommunications industry, found that Unifi’s performance has improved significantly in the past year. With a download speed of 39.4 Mbps, Unifi saw an increase of 21.2 Mbps – reflecting a 115.7% increase from the previous report where they came in last.

This achievement is a testament to Unifi’s commitment to innovation but also reaffirms its position as a global contender in the telecommunications industry.

Unifi claimed Opensignal’s Consistent Quality award with a score of 67.2%, surpassing the second-place contender by 4.8%.

This award highlights Unifi’s dedication to providing a network that consistently supports common mobile app requirements, ensuring users can smoothly execute various demanding tasks on their devices without compromise.

With a score of 54.7 out of 100 points, Unifi also won the Live Video Experience award, placing it in the second highest category of “very good” – making Unifi the sole Malaysian operator in this category.

Unifi also clinched the Ookla award for Malaysia’s Best Video Experience in the mobile segment twice in 2023 – reflecting the company’s dedication to providing users with an exceptional video streaming experience.
