MALAYSIAN deejay and actor Jack Lim (pic) went after a man who took upskirt photos of an actress during an event in Kuala Lumpur, China Press reported.

During the incident on Friday, Lim and his colleagues were attending a Chinese New Year promotional event at a mall in Bukit Jalil.

However, they soon noticed a suspicious man tailing one of the actresses. When they saw him taking upskirt photos of the actress with his handphone, Lim, along with several other colleagues and a food delivery rider, gave chase and apprehended the man.

They found such photos of not only the actress but also of other artistes and several other women at the event.

Lim admitted that he could not restrain himself from beating up the man.

“I confess that I was reckless. I am ready to face the law for raising my hand (against the man),” he said.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin later confirmed that a 33-year-old suspect was detained.

The case will be investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of another person and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for insulting behaviour.

> The daily also reported that a cleaning staff member, who picked up a discarded wallet in the rubbish bin, drove his garbage truck all the way to the owner’s house in Pontian, Johor, to return it to him.

According to the owner, he lost the wallet in Pekan Nanas a year ago and was surprised to be reunited with it.

Despite his RM100 cash having gone missing, his identity card, driving licence and debit card were still in the wallet.

Sharing the incident on Facebook, the owner said the cleaning staff member had found the wallet amid the garbage, adding that he was thankful for the man’s honesty.

Some urged the owner to make a police report to prevent identity theft.
