Hajiji commends Council of Datuks for giving back to Sabahans

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah values the commitment of the Sabah Council of Datuks in complementing efforts to improve the people's well-being under the state government’s Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya development aspirations, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

"I am hopeful that the Council of Datuks’ efforts to make a difference will continue to impact the wider community," said the Chief Minister at the Patron's Night organised by the council in conjunction with the 70th official birthday of the Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, on Friday (Dec 8).

Deputy Chief Minister I cum Agriculture, Fishery and Food Industry Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan delivered Hajiji’s speech.

He also mentioned the council’s organic farming pilot project under its community social responsibility programme for villagers in Kampung Purak in the southwest Papar district.

Hajiji pointed out that the council has been actively helping communities in need, including during the pandemic.

"Your efforts in lifting the plight of those in need are commendable," Hajiji said.
