KUALA LUMPUR: The Kelantan state government cannot boycott all pro-Israel companies, including Mercedes Benz and Apple, says PAS Pasir MAS MP Ahmad Fadhli Shaari.
"There are some products or things that cannot be boycotted. We cannot do it all," said the PAS information chief.
"Don't look down at the people's efforts to boycott products by companies that are supportive of Israel," he added while debating the 2024 Supply Bill at the committee stage for the Sports Ministry on Tuesday (Nov 21).
He was responding to remarks made by a government backbencher, Chong Zhemin (PH-Kampar), who hit out at Perikatan Nasional for what he called double standards regarding the issue of boycotting brands that support Israel.
