Dr Wee congratulates Johor Royal Court Council advisor on receiving honorary doctorate


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Daing A Malek Daing A Rahaman, has received an Honorary Doctorate of Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

In a Facebook post on Saturday (Nov 18), MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong congratulated the Johor Royal Court Council advisor, adding that the latter was also his senior in UTM.

"As a UTM alumni, I am amazed with Daing A Malek’s achievements, and he is also my senior.

"He shows outstanding entrepreneurial talent and leadership which is very evident in leading the field of international business," Dr Wee said.

Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, who is the UTM chancellor, presented the scroll to Daing A Malek.

Daing A Malek was awarded the honorary doctorate in conjunction with UTM’s 67th convocation ceremony on Saturday.
